The family was born as a Jewish one. Then its national structure was greatly changed. All the wives in four families and one husband in one family in the whole 2nd generation weren’t Jews. Thus the families in the 2nd and the 3rd generations were mixed in national structure, thus the 4th generation is considered the assimilated one.
The ideological conditions influenced all the generations’ social and political activities. Everybody in the 2nd generation were the pioneers and YCL members, 6 people were the members of the CPSU.
The Great Patriotic War influenced greatly the destinies of the lst and 2nd generations. The head of the family — Shulim Nusinovich Rapoport — was taking part in the battles. His wife, EYelizaveta Abramovna, had to evacuate with four small children from Ukraine occupied by German fascist troops to the eastern regions of the country — near the Volga territories, into the Chuvash ASSR.
The family turned out to live in the different countries — Russia, Ukraine, Israel up to the end of the 20th century due to various reasons.
